Our Story

One fateful day in 1980, a group of local Calgary businessmen relocated the NHL Atlanta Flames team from Atlanta, Georgia, to its current hometown of Calgary, Alberta, and thus our beloved Calgary Flames were born. Since then, the organization has grown, and CSEC now operates the Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary Hitmen, Calgary Roughnecks, Calgary Stampeders, and Calgary Wranglers. Through the Calgary Flames Foundation, the ownership group has donated over $60 million to support initiatives that bring positive change to the lives of Calgarians and Southern Albertans.
